In preparation of the 2009 Expert Group Meeting on Human Rights of Older Persons organized by the UN Program on Ageing, Magali led a research project on the abuses and discrimination older persons face around the world. She initiated the new web section entitled Toward an Ageing Convention which focuses on the importance of the adoption by the United Nations of a Human Rights Convention to protect older persons around the world.
